Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.

The School is highly ranked in various global university league tables. In 2015, we were ranked third in the world for social sciences and public health in the 2015 US News Best Global Universities Ranking. The School was rated by the 2016 CWTS Leiden Ranking as Europe's top university and fifth in the world for research impact.

We offer 18 London-based Masters; 6 via distance learning; Research degrees and Short Study courses. The teaching programme has a combination of laboratory-based biological courses and social science courses to cover all areas of public and population health, epidemiology, control of infectious diseases and tropical medicine. We have also launched a series of free online courses.
